Manchester United's Paul Pogba narrowly missed out on a place in the FIFA and FIFPro team of the year.
FIFA's inaugural 'Best FIFA Football Awards 2016' took place last night at the swanky gala from Zurich, Switzerland.
Among the many awards was the FIFA unveiling of the best starting XI in the past 12 months which always sparks fierce debate.

As expected, the usual suspects made the line-up including a three man midfield; Andres Iniesta, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
But the German just scraped his way into the team ahead of Pogba. The Frenchman lost out to the Real Madrid ace by just the TWO votes as revealed by FIFA.
"The closest call was the third midfield position, with Kroos narrowly beating Pogba by two votes. It is the smallest margin ever in the 12-year World 11 history to decide on inclusion in the World 11."

Just the two votes separate the pair of midfielder maestros with it being the smallest margin EVER in their 12-year history.
Pogba had a brilliant year for Juventus claiming the Serie A title before completing his mega-money switch back to United.
While Kroos help guide the 'Los Blancos' to yet another Champions League title which probably got him the deciding vote.
