Manchester United's record signing Paul Pogba has revealed which player he'd like to see welcomed back at Old Trafford so he can play alongside him. The two played in United's academy together.

Before Pogba cost Manchester United £89 million the Old Trafford club had let him go for free. It was there own fault with Sir Alex Ferguson getting Paul Scholes out of retirement, and playing defenders in midfield, rather than play the youngster with immense potential.

Understandably that rather annoyed the Frenchman and he decided to pack his bags and head to Italy to play for Juventus after rejecting a contract offer from United.

After developing into a very good player United decided to bring Pogba and his dabs back to Old Trafford this summer. Adnan Januzaj told the Sun that Pogba wants to play alongside him in the Red Devils team in the future:

"Paul is a great player. He made a different choice but eventually he was successful and he has returned. He remains a great player. He's a very good friend. At United, we were always together. We went to dinner together, played the PlayStation. He was a brother to me.

"Of course, Paul asks if I'll be back at Manchester United. He wants to play with me. But I am now at Sunderland and I have to do what's right for the club. These are decisions from above. I'm a professional footballer and I have to remain professional and work."

Life for Januzaj at Old Trafford started well under David Moyes and he was one of United's better performers that season, not exactly difficult. He found opportunities slightly harder to come by under Louis van Gaal and suffered from second season syndrome.

He scored the winner against Aston Villa early in LvG's second season as a chance upfront looked a possibility but he was soon sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund where chances to make a first team push were few and far between.

This season he has been reunited with Moyes at Sunderland on loan but like with the rest of the Black Cats things haven't exactly gone according to plan.

The 21 year old admitted he'd love a chance to play under Mourinho saying, "My goal is always to play at Manchester United. But you should always keep your ears open and keep options open...I never had any problems with Mourinho. He is a top coach. Last summer, they asked me to play a year on loan, to get some game-time because I had not played for a year."

Pogba will apparently hope that happens.
