West Ham defeated London rivals Chelsea 2-1 progressing into the quarter-finals of the EFL club but the meeting between the two Premier League sides was marred by crowd trouble involving the sets of supporters.

The Hammers new ground is attracting the wrong attention since moving into the London Stadium. More clashes from inside the ground last night detracted from the pitch as Slaven Bilic condemned the actions committed by a minority of 'fans'.

What's more, some West Ham fans were given a song sheet to abuse John Terry. And it was embarrassing. The Metropolitan Police have now confirmed that they will investigate the disturbing homophobic slur.

Images of the aforementioned sheets swept social media as fans were handed it outside the London Stadium before heading in for the game.

A Met Police statement reads; "Police are aware of an leaflet handed out before the match containing homophobic contents. This will will form part of the post match investigation."
