After Atletico's Fernando Torres suffered a heavily blow to the head last night, we are delighted to report that El Nino has been discharged from hospital following an MRI scan.
The Spaniard was stretchered off the pitch at the Riazor stadium during Atletico Madrid's La Liga match against Deportivo La Coruna with the serious head injury as players looked on in concern, with some praying on the pitch as he was stretchered off.

Thankfully, Torres posted a message on Twitter last night, giving a positive update on his condition:
Now, reports have confirmed that Torres has left hospital following the injury.
Torres said the following upon leaving hospital: "I'd like to thank everyone for their great support and I'm now looking forward to training again"

If you missed the incident, Deportivo defender Álex Bergantiños unintentionally knocked out Torres as players ran to prevent the Spaniard from swallowing his tongue.
Bergantiños has since visited him in hospital, as Torres told him to relax and these things happen.
We wish you all the best in your recovery, Fernando.
