It was one of the most talked about transfers in months - when Carlos Tevez was linked with a ridiculous £650,000 per week transfer to the Chinese Super League in November, we questioned the state of modern day football.

Could you reject an offer of £650,000 per week, which is equivalent to £93,000 a day and nearly four grand an hour? No neither, but Carlos Tevez has come out and made a shocking admission - He might retire from the game in January.

No really. This January. And it seems the former Manchester United and Juventus striker is pretty serious about his claims.

After Shanghai Shenhua manager Gus Poyet expressed his interest in acquiring the player's services, Tevez admitted that he could retire from football next month at the age of 32:

"I've got too much going on to think about the offer from China. First come River Plate [on Sunday], then Colon, then I am getting married," Tevez told Goal.

"I will think it over in the [Argentine summer] break. I might not just leave, I could also retire from football."

Tevez spent seven years in England between 2006 and 2013 with West Ham United, Manchester United and Manchester City.

The right decision?

Let us know.
