Eden Hazard dedicated his superb solo strike against Liverpool to N'Golo Kante who didn't want to take a penalty.

Maurizio Sarri named both Hazard and Kante on the bench for Chelsea's Carabao Cup third-round tie against Liverpool on Wednesday night.

But the Italian boss eventually drafted the pair on with his side looking for a goal.

And his substitution was vindicated when Hazard produced a moment of brilliance. He netted a stunning goal to knock Liverpool out of the competition whilst securing his team a spot in the next round.

Hazard's heroics was the talk of the game and after scoring a 85th minute winner, he gave a brilliant post-match interview where he revealed his conversation with Kante when they were on the bench.

The reporter asked the Belgium superstar: "Talk us through that goal, Eden?"

Hazard brilliantly replied: "Kante told me he doesn't want to take a penalty so I had to score."

Class.

Needless to say, Hazard and Kante's hilarious conversation sent social media into overdrive:

Kante, what a bloke.
