Yesterday, a certain Manchester City fan went viral after he posted his 'unique' new season ticket with a picture of Adam Johnson's face plastered all over it.
The City supporter accumulated almost 3k retweets on the season ticket, which was accompanied with the quote: "I can't believe city actually approved my season card request, stuck with this for a year now."
The question is, how and why did the club actually approve it? Surely they knew who the person was?

Now, The Premier League have seemingly spoken on Manchester City's behalf, and they had this to say about the season-ticket incident:
"Manchester City are extremely disappointed that any supporter would find this entirely inappropriate image to be suitable.

We are contacting the cardholder directly and have suspended the season card indefinitely whilst considering an appropriate response."
Manchester City fan, Max Hornby, has now apologised for his antics on social media:

Johnson was jailed for six years in March for engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl.
