Manchester United may be one of the richest clubs in word football, with an estimated value of around £590 million, but the club don't exactly have a reputation for cashing in on their own players.
In fact the club have only received a transfer fee of £20 million plus for a player on just four occasions - a stat that may surprise a few.
If you don't include the transfer fee of Alexis Sanchez in the Henrikh Mkhitaryan transfer swap last summer, United have cashed in almost £170 million on the following four players.

David Beckham left Old Trafford for the Bernabeu in 2003 for a fee of £24.5 million.
It was the first time United had received such a large amount for a transfer and 16 years ago, it was seen as a relatively big amount.
You can buy two Gylfi Sigurdsson's with that amount nowadays.
It took another six years for Sir Alex Ferguson to sell up for more than £20 million, when he decided to sell Cristiano Ronaldo to Los Blancos for a reported £85 million ahead of the 2009/10 season.

It remains the biggest fee United have received for a player.
Angel Di Maria was the next player to be offloaded for a large fee.
His far from glittering career at Old Trafford was cut short after Paris Saint-Germain offered £44.5 million for the winger.
Then finally, another uninspired signing was quickly offloaded after making just 32 appearances for the club.

Morgan Schneiderlin left United to sign a four-and-a-half year deal with Everton in a deal worth a reported £20 million, rising to £24 million.
It begs the question: are Manchester United poor at selling or are they clever about when players are at their peak?
