There was a shortage of match officials for the Premier League game at Wembley Stadium.

Spurs hosted Huddersfield this afternoon with the game getting off to a bizarre start.

Original match referee Mike Jones was forced out of his officiating duty after picking up a knock in the warm-up.

As a a result, fourth official Kevin Friend filled the refereeing void.

It meant the league fixture now needed a new fourth official.

So, a message went around the ground via a tannoy announcement asking for a qualified official to step forward.

Among the crowd was a match official who offered his services. But, ultimately, he wasn't needed after Jones limped to the touchline, acting as fourth official while sitting down on a chair.

The game continued as usual without any delays despite the refereeing drama.
