Everton striker Richarlison has helped out some students in his hometown who couldn't afford to go to the 2019 Asian Mathematical Olympiad in Taiwan.

Despite an official invite from the Mathematical Olympiad, students at Venue Nova Venécia didn't have the funds to make the trip across to Asia.

However, when an appeal was put on social media, Richarlison stepped up to the plate and got in contact with one of the teachers.

As per Globo Esporte the former Watford man then covered the costs, said to be just over £10,000, so that the group could be in attendance for the prestigious event.

A superb gesture from the 22-year old, who does not forget where he came from.

Richarlison has been named in Tite's squad for the Copa America tournament on home soil and his reaction to the announcement last month was incredibly heartwarming.

Surrounded by family members at his grandparents' house, Richarlison has his legs crossed and eyes glued to the TV.

Then, when his name is called out, he and his relatives jump for joy before he embraces everyone in the room in a quite beautiful moment.

Richarlison only made his international debut in September but he already has five goals in ten appearances for the Selecao.
