'Los Blancos' rubbed salt into Barca's wounds at the Bernabeu

It's been a shitty week to be a Barcelona fan. Not only were Luis Enrique's men humbled 4-0 by Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, but it was a former Real Madrid player, Angel Di Maria, who dished out the majority of the punishment, firing a pair of wonder goals past Marc-André ter Stegen.

Oh, and just to rub salt into Catalan wounds, Real Madrid decided it'd be a right, royal laugh to share the highlights of Barca's Parisian nightmare with the Bernabeu crowd before last night's 3-1 victory over Napoli in the Champions League round of 16.

The stunt initially looked as though it may backfire, though, with Lorenzo Insigne's optimistic effort firing Napoli into an early lead. However, goals from Karim Benzema, Toni Kroos and a stunning volleyed effort from Brazilian midfielder Casemiro ensured the Champions League holders will take a 3-1 lead to the San Paolo when they visit Naples for the return leg in three weeks time.

Barca, meanwhile will have to pull off a Champions League first and overturn a 4-0 deficit at the Camp Nou on 8th March. It's a feat that's never been performed in the history of the competition and, even with all of the firepower at Luis Enrique's disposal, it's difficult to see the five time champions making history in three weeks.

Oh, and in case you missed Angel Di Maria returning to his Bernabeu best, here are his two sumptuous efforts against Barca from Tuesday night...

Who knows, maybe Real will have another highlights package to show off to their home crowd after the return legs.
