The smoke bomb thrown by a Liverpool supporter at Anfield yesterday ended up landing near a 9-year old Chelsea fan with special needs and learning difficulties, as per the Daily Mail.
When Sadio Mane opened the scoring early on in the second fan, red smoke could be seen in the away end where Chelsea fans were in - with Blues' fans appearing to throw it away and onto the field of play as a result.
A video of the aftermath has been doing the rounds on social media.

But it's since emerged that the smoke canister caused some serious distress to young fan Donte Patterson-Stanley, who was taken to a first-aid area.
Donte's mother Frances Stanley told the Mail that her son developed red, itchy and watery eyes and was "coughing non-stop" - leading to being put on a nebuliser to clear his airways.

Frances, whose 19-year old daughter Georgia was also at the game, added that Donte became 'confused and anxious' as a result.
'One of the stewards came over and asked if he was OK and then offered to get one of the paramedics over to have a look at him," Ms Stanley.
"They came over straight away then took us to the first aid room.
'They were a bit concerned about his oxygen levels so proceeded to give him nebuliser to open his airways. It did help as the coughing eased off and he calmed quite a bit.

'My son has special needs with developmental delays. It was all a bit much for him and with him not understanding what was going on, he became very anxious."
Frances praised the "fantastic" efforts of the stewards and medical staff for the way they attended to her son.
Donte got the all-clear to travel back down South after the game but was unfortunately sick on the coach journey home - his mother putting it down to "the after-effects".

He was thankfully fine after that though, but both Merseyside Police and the Football Association are investigating the incident.
