For years now Southampton players joining Liverpool has been the norm.
The likes of Rickie Lambert, Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Sadio Mane have all swapped St Mary's for Anfield in recent times.
But it appears as though we've got a bit of a plot twist on our hands because a Liverpool player could be heading to Southampton.

Saints captain Jose Fonte is desperate to leave and has handed in a transfer request in relation to a dispute over a contract.
His defensive partner Virgil Van Dijk has also been heavily linked with a move away but it appears as though he will stick around until the end of the season, while Fonte looks to have played his last game for the club and could move on in the summer - with Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal all linked with the Portugal international.
That means that Claude Puel and Southampton are on the look-out for a new central defender and according to The Mirror, they have identified Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho as their top option.

The former PSG defender has been cast aside from the Liverpool first-team squad by Jurgen Klopp after a falling-out in pre-season and his only competitive football this term has been in the Reds reserves.
He is available to move on in the current transfer window and has caught the eye of Southampton, who see him as the perfect replacement for skipper Fonte, should he leave as expected.
However, Bournemouth have also been linked with the Frenchman, while La Liga outfit Sevilla have also shown interest.
