Sporting CP Want To Sign Cristiano Ronaldo's 8-Year Old Son From Juventus

Sporting CP want to sign Cristiano Ronaldo's eight-year old son after seeing his impressive form in the Juventus youth set-up.

When five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo made the switch from Madrid to Turin, so too did his eldest son, and like his father, Cristiano Jr banged in the goals in Bianconeri colours.

He marked his debut by scoring four goals on his debut in a 7-1 victory over Lucento and then in April he notched a ridiculous SEVEN goals in a 25-0 win over Maritimo China in the International Maritimo Centenary Tournament - which took place in his dad's birthplace of Madeira.

In total, the youngest bagged 56 goals and 26 assists in his first season playing with Juventus Under 9's and according to Sport Mediaset, Sporting want to prize him away.

It's said that the Lisbon club have already made contact with his grandmother, Dolores Aveiro, in the hope of snapping him up and history repeating itself.

Having come through the ranks at Sporting after joining aged 12, Ronaldo made 31 first-team appearances for the club before Manchester United snapped him up for £12.24 million after seeing him dazzle in a 2003 friendly.

The rest, as they say, is history. Excluding club friendlies, the 34-year old has scored an insane 689 goals in 961 appearances for club and country, winning pretty much everything there is to win in the game and smashing countless individual records along the way.

However, despite the almighty task, Cristiano Jr is confident he can surpass his old man.

"I hope that Cris, my son, can be like his dad," Ronaldo told beIN SPORTS, via Daily Mirror.

"He says he is going to be better [than me], but I think it's difficult.

"I am very happy to have scored, for him too. He is playing for Juventus and adapting really well - it has been easier for him than for me."

In a separate interview, CR7 explained that his son also thrives under pressure like him.

"Yes, he also plays for Juventus, and feels the pressure and likes it," Ronaldo revealed.

"Sometimes he asks me: can I bring 2 Italian friends home? I tell him yes, then he says: but you must be here because they want to take a picture (laughs)."
