The crowd were also in their element...

Like father, like son. Cristiano Ronaldo's son, Cristiano Jr, wowed fans on the pitch after Portugal's final World Cup warm-up friendly.

Fernando Santos' side beat Algeria 3-0 in Lisbon, with Goncalo Guedes staking a claim for a starting spot with a brilliant brace.

Captain CR7 set up Bruno Fernandes' goal but was outshined by his son on the pitch after his 150th appearance for his country.

After the game at the Estadio da Luiz, Ronaldo's eldest, nicknamed 'Cristianinho', took to the field for a kickabout with his five-time Ballon d'Or-winning father and Pepe's son.

And he received a huge cheer from fans in attendance when he walloped a thunderous top-corner strike.

It was an effort his dad would have been proud of, with Ronaldo beaming with delight as his son showed off his skills.

7-year old Cristiano Jr also attempted to channel his famous father with an overhead kick attempt that didn't come off but he made a huge impression on his (not so) old man and the thousands in attendance.

Proud dad Ronaldo, who has a total of four children, including a daughter called Alana with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, regularly posts videos of his eldest in action.

He's still only very young but the resemblance to five-time Champions League winner are there to see - particularly in his deadly free-kicks and strikes from distance. Don't be surprised if he follows in his father's footsteps one day.

The 33-year old will be hoping to add to his 81 goals for his country during this summer's showpiece, especially following on from the Euro 2016 triumph two years back.

Portugal have been placed in a group with Morocco, Croatia and Spain - and kick off their campaign in Russia with an exciting clash with the 2010 winners in Sochi on 15 June.
