N'Golo Kante's Chelsea Squad Number Confirmed

After plenty of speculation surrounding squad numbers, Chelsea have announced that N'Golo Kante will wear the number seven jersey this season.

Rumours spread yesterday that Riyad Mahrez would wear No.7 after Adidas had 'accidentally' revealed that Mahrez would join Chelsea, but many played down reports.

The speculation has well and truly been quashed today after Chelsea revealed that Kante would wear the number seven, previously worn by Ramires, who now plies his trade in the Chinese Super League.

Riyad Mahrez will certainly not wear the number seven shirt. Whether he will join Conte's Chelsea side is yet to be known.

Kante completed his £32million transfer from Premier League champions Leicester City earlier this month, with the Foxes making £27.2 million profit.
