Following his sensational £60 million move from Premier League side Chelsea, Oscar came off the bench to score on his Shanghai SIPG debut last night.

As well as scoring, the Brazilian played a huge part in Shanghai's second goal as the Chinese Super League side came up against Saudi Arabian Premier League side Al Batin in a friendly game.

Oscar came on as the game was tied 0-0, but his influence was clear.

The 25-year-old, who is on a reported £20m-per-year wage, broke the deadlock with a deadly finish after he capitalised on a poor clearance from Al Batin.

Oscar said the following after Shanghai's friendly win:

"I only trained for two days and this is my first game. This is the start of a new season and we had only one goal, which was to win the game," he told the media.

"My team-mates played very well today. The Chinese guys tried to help us integrate. It's difficult to have a good game in such a short time but they made it happen."

A good start to life in China for Oscar, but was it the right decision to move to Shanghai?
