If I told you that John Terry was the most searched Premier League footballer in the country of Taiwan, would you believe me?
It's true.
Google trends have been doing their research on Premier League players of late and the tech giant have recently published a study looking at 'the most Google'd' footballers in countries like Gambia and Taiwan.

They have also created a top five list of the most popular Premier League player in every country combined, and Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic has come out on top.
The list:
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic (36 countries)
- Paul Pogba (29 countries)
- Pedro (seven countries)
- Jamie Vardy (five countries)
- Mesut Ozil (three countries)
For those who want random stats, here are the 'most Google'd' players in the U.S, Gambia, Taiwan and Jersey and it's seriously weird.
- Raheem Sterling - top in the USA
- Michael Carrick - top in Gambia
- John Terry - top in Taiwan
- Dele Alli - top in Jersey
We're not exactly sure why Michael Carrick is the most searched player in Gambia but it's possibly the greatest stat to ever warrant a place on this website.
