The BBC launched their very own midweek programme for the new Premier League season yesterday as Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and a 3D Jermaine Jenas featured in the new show hosted by Gabby Logan.

That's right. A hologram image of Jermaine Jenas appeared on screens around the country last night as he was seen walking around the pitch, analysing players' movement, positioning and attacking threat.

Jenas examined the Crystal Palace vs Tottenham game as Victor Wanyama scored the winner. The former Spurs midfielder then gave his views on the Leicester penalty area to point out what went wrong from the opening day fixture against newly-promoted Hull.

Who'd have thought it. Jermaine Jenas on the pitch in a pair of jeans and a trendy sweater.

Honestly though, we think the idea is a perfect tool for pundits. Imagine this - Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher going in on defenders because they can't mark for shit. We'd pay to see that.
