Will Grigg left for France on fire, played zero minutes as Northern Ireland got to the last 16, and then somehow returned still on fire. The song about the Wigan striker followed him around France and even when he and the team weren't around the song still was. Now he's back home it's still being sung.
What any of us would do to go on holiday in France for a month and still be lauded by our bosses after doing nothing the whole time, that's basically what's happened to Grigg after the "Will Grigg's on Fire" song became a viral sensation prior to the Euros.
With Northern Ireland out of the tournament and back home the team were given a heroes welcome all being introduced on stage to a very happy public and despite not playing a single minute of football it was the Wigan forward who got the biggest reaction from fans:
The 24 year old can now have a break before his first season as a Championship striker having helped get the Latics promoted as champions of League One last season.

When the Will Grigg love in will stop is anyone's guess. Our advice to him though is soak it up whilst you can. it's likely to never get better than this for him.
