Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus is the talk of the town; not just for bagging a brace against Swansea as they secured all three league points but because of his 'telephone' celebration.

But what does it mean?

The Brazilian youngster scored twice which included a last-gasp winner as City climbed to third in the league. Though his celebration is garnering plenty of attention, too.

A fake quote started to do the rounds which are far from being true. Apparently, Jesus was aiming a dig at his ex-girlfriend but this 'statement' is false.

"My celebration was a message to my ex girlfriend who didn't answer my calls at Palmerias, but messaged me when I moved to City."

So, what does Jesus' 'telephone' celebration actually mean? Well, the 19-year-old's celebration is attributed to his mother.

The clubs official website also depicts his meteoric rise which details the REAL reason behind his goal-scoring gesture.

"His 'telephone' celebration after each goal he scores is a reference to the close contact he has with his mother and the tattoo on his right arm depicting a young boy holding a football looking out over a favela with the words 'Jardim Peri' sketched large symbolises the bond he has with the place of his birth."

Get used to it, folks - Jesus has already scored three goals while creating two in his first four City matches. We'll be seeing a lot of this celebration!
