A 2017 interview involving Hakim Ziyech has re-emerged and sees him state his desire to play for Arsenal.

The Ajax man is widely expected to join Chelsea in a £38 million summer deal but the Blues are not among the clubs Ziyech has the "ultimate dream" to represent in his career.

Asked by then teammate Justin Kluivert who would he like to play for in the future as part of a chat for Ajax TV, Ziyech replied: "Well, I have two clubs. They are Arsenal and Barcelona. That is my ultimate dream."

"Yes, I actually do have one. [Mesut] Ozil," he answered before stating he is "not even close" to Ozil's level.

Ziyech was heavily courted by Arsenal for a period of time but looks set to make the switch to West London with Chelsea, though apparently there is the condition that they must secure Champions League football.

Signed for just €11 million euros from FC Twente in 2016, Ziyech has gone on to make 157 appearances for Ajax, scoring 47 goals.
