Tiemoue Bakayoko Played A Simple Pass Out Of Play In Friendly Against St Pats

"He never gives the ball awayyyyy"

When Chelsea signed Tiemoue Bakayoko for a reported £40 million from Monaco in 2017, Blues fans quickly came up with a brilliant Earth, Wind And Fire - September chant that focused on how he never gave the ball away.

Well, two years on it's become pretty apparent that the Frenchman does in fact give the ball away a lot.

On Saturday, Bakayoko produced one of the worst pieces of play you've ever seen from a professional footballer in recent times when he played a simple pass out of play in a friendly.

Frank Lampard's second game in charge resulted in a 4-0 over St Patrick's Athletic and though there were a lot of encouraging performances for some of Chelsea's young guns, Bakayoko wasn't on it.

He was under no pressure whatsoever and yet somehow he managed to play the ball out for a throw-in and near the home bench. Utterly atrocious.

Bakayoko spent last season on loan at AC Milan and didn't exactly impress - his main highlight being him making the stupid decision to tell manager Gennaro Gattuso to "fuck off" during a bust-up on the Rossoneri bench.

The 24-year old has returned to Chelsea for pre-season but even with the club's transfer ban it's hard to see him being part of Lampard's plans for the upcoming campaign.

Both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with the Frenchman.
