7 Transfers You Might Have Missed On Deadline Day

Oh yeah....

Transfer Deadline Day typically produced in terms of big money signings, shock arrivals and Jim White in general but what about the transfers that perhaps slipped under the radar?

David Luiz and Moussa Sissoko grabbed the headlines in the late hours of Wednesday evening as Chelsea completed a reported £32 million deal for the Brazilian centre-back, while Tottenham and Everton battled to sign Sissoko in one of the more controversial signings of the window, but what about the others?

Here are seven transfers that you may have missed yesterday:

Lucas Piazon - Chelsea to Fulham

Piazon scored four goals in 27 appearances on loan in the Championship with Reading last term and will be looking to impress again with Fulham, who have signed the Brazilian on loan until January.

It was reported that Chelsea paid in the region of £5 million to acquire Piazon but he has made just a handful of appearances for Chelsea since his move from Sao Paulo in 2012.

Jason Denayer - Manchester City to Sunderland (loan)

Sunderland's deadline day was rather eventful. They missed out on forward Steven Naismith and a certain situation regarding midfielder Yann M'Vila made headline news but the signing of talented Belgian international Jason Denayer was welcomed by many supporters.

Denayer has joined The Black Cats on a season-long loan.

Ezequiel Garay - Zenit St Petersburg to Valencia

Valencia have moved quickly to replace Shkodran Mustafi in this summer's transfer window. The Spanish side recruited two centre-backs on deadline day - Eliaquim Mangala from Manchester City on a season-long loan and Ezequiel Garay from Zenit.

Garay has been capped 32 times by Argentina and has signed a four-year deal with Valencia. A good move?

Joselu - Stoke City to Deportivo (loan)

The 26-year-old may have moved to Stoke for €8 million last summer but the striker has failed to make an impression at the Bet365 Stadium under Mark Hughes and has joined La Liga outfit Deportivo La Coruna on a season-long loan.

He made just one substitute appearance for the Potters this season.

Younes Belhanda - Dynamo Kiev to OGC Nice (loan)

OGC Nice had a pretty nice transfer window this summer (sorry it had to be done). The captures of both Mario Balotelli and Moroccan international Younes Belhanda have been a real coup for the Ligue 1 side on deadline day.

Belhanda has joined the club on a 12-month deal with an option to buy.

Hal-Robson Kanu - West Brom (Free)

After he was given permission to leave Wales' training camp to complete the deal, Hal Robson Kanu's impressive performances at the European Championships this summer has earned him a free transfer to Premier League side West Brom.

Kanu has joined on a two-year deal with an option for a further year.

Rickie Lambert - West Brom to Cardiff City

Since leaving Southampton back in 2014, Rickie Lambert has struggled to score regularly for Liverpool and West Brom but a move to Championship side Cardiff City could spark a revival for the 34-year-old.

Lambert has joined Cardiff on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
