Last night, news emerged that Antoine Griezmann's move to Old Trafford is on after the principles of a switch have been verbally agreed, including weekly wage and prospective shirt number, according to The Independent.
It is likely that Manchester United would have to match the Atletico striker's buy-out clause of €100 million. but reports have confirmed that the Premier League side have been in discussions for 'several months' over a move for the French international.
Although the wage has yet to be revealed, Atletico Madrid forward Griezmann has reportedly been offered £220,000 a week to join Manchester United - the same wage as fellow French international Paul Pogba, who joined the club last summer in a record deal.

Moving to Old Trafford would obviously mean that he would team up with fellow French international Paul Pogba once more, which could become a crucial link in the deal.
According to Metro, Griezmann is 'likely to inherit' the iconic number seven shirt at Manchester United, with the current number seven, Memphis Depay, set for a move to Lyon.
Despite Jose Mourinho's side initially rejecting a £13million bid, the Dutch winger has reached a total agreement concerning personal terms with the Ligue 1 side, according to French publication L'Equipe, as he looks to put his Manchester United nightmare behind him.
A good move for Griezmann and Manchester United?
