Michael Essien, a two time Premier League and one time Champions League winner, who's career has taken in spells with Lyon, Chelsea, Real Madrid and AC Milan is now on the move again.
This time, however, the Ghanaian midfielder's latest club is far from the European elite he has become accustomed to over the course of his 17 year career.
Essien was one of the first major signings of the Abramovich era at Chelsea. But here's how the Blues could have looked without their Russian owner's billions...
The 34-year-old has just pen to paper on a one year deal with Indonesian club Persib Bandung, with the option to extend by an extra year if he chooses.

Essien will wear the number five shirt at Persib, much like he did during his time at Stamford Bridge. Upon completing the move, Essien told the club's official website: "I hope I am the prelude to other world players moving to Indonesia.
"Hopefully this is a good beginning for Indonesian football and also for Persib.
"Thank you for bringing me here. I'm excited and want to give my best."

While not much may be known about Persib, it would appear the club are immensely popular in Indonesia, seeing as they boast 2.8m Twitter followers.
Essien made 256 appearances during his nine years with Chelsea, lifting two Premier League titles, a Champions League, four FA Cups and a League Cup, scoring 25 goals in the process.
The Ghanaian midfielder would then spend a season on loan at Real Madrid, two seasons with AC Milan and a season in Greece with Panathanaikos.
