Patrice Evra 'In Talks' With Premier League Club Over Shock Transfer

After all the speculation linking him with a return to Manchester United, the reports of Patrice Evra moving to Old Trafford are pretty much dead in the water after Sky Italia reported another transfer story last night.

It looks like Evra is on his way to the Premier League, but with relegation threatened Crystal Palace.

Sam Allardyce is clearly looking to boost his defensive options in the January window following the injury of Pape Souaré and Evra would arguably be the perfect man to lead Palace out of trouble.

According to the report, the former Manchester United defender asked to leave the Italian champions last week.

Evra will be offered an 18-month contract at Selhurst Park if he decides to say yes to the transfer.

The 35-year-old has been linked with a move to Valencia as well, but it looks like Crystal Palace are about to make a shock signing in Evra, who has won five Premier League titles and a Champions League medal.
