Before heading to China, where he will become THE RICHEST BLOKE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD, EVER, Carlos Tevez bid and emotional farewell to Boca Juniors during his final match for the club at La Bombonera, last night.

Tevez scored the second goal in Boca's 4-1 victory over Colon as well as laying on an assist for Ricardo Centurion before being substituted off in the 90th minute to soak in the adulation of the home crowd, with one fan sprinting onto the pitch, dropping to his knees and worshipping his China bound idol.

The former Manchester United, City and Juventus man is now heading to the Chinese Super League, where Shanghai Shenhua are parting with a measly £615,000 a week for his services. Given the basic wage the Chinese club are offering, one can only assume that Tevez's contract also includes the following clauses:

  1. A solid gold statue that rotates with the movement of the sun to be built in Shanghai every time the Argentinian striker scores (even if it's an own goal).
  2. A golf course to be built in his honour for whenever he can't be arsed playing football and fancies a golfing holiday halfway through the season.
  3. Upon his retirement, Tevez is to be anointed 'Sheriff Of Shanghai' and is awarded a novelty size hat and badge to wear at a ceremony that MUST be attended by every citizen of the city.
  4. A flag must be flown from Shenhua's stadium that reads 'FUCK SIR ALEX FERGUSON'.

Tevez had originally planned to end his career with Boca, but has now reversed his decision, despite pleas from members of La Bombonera faithful waving banners that read 'Don't go, Carlos!'. Tevez began his career with the Buenos Aires club in 2001, remaining there until 2004, when he moved to Brazilian giants Corinthians. He returned to the Argentine capital last year, lifting the Primera Division once again and the Copa Argentina, adding to the Copa Libertadores, Intercontinental Cup and Copa Sudamerica that the former West Ham striker won during his first spell with Boca.

Tevez will now, unsurprisingly, become the highest paid player in world football once his move to China is officially confirmed.
