Death, taxes and Arjen Robben cutting onto his left foot

The top-level footballers in the world all have their go-to trick that they use on a regular basis. Diego Maradona and Johan Cruyff both brought in their own original skills and you see those tricks everywhere these days - from Sunday League to the Champions League.

Bayern Munich and Netherlands winger Arjen Robben has his own trademark move and though it's a fairly simple one, he pulls it off so well, and so frequently.

The 33-year old isn't getting any younger but his technical brilliance in the final third remains and he proved that last night against Arsenal with yet another stunning piece of play for the opening goal in the 11th minute; a standard Robben goal where he checks inside and curls home with his tried and trusted left foot.

There have been many memorable Champions League upsets over the years but Bayern made sure they weren't on the end of one in the second half last night, putting in a thoroughly dominant display.

Here are some of the biggest upsets in Champions League history:

Anyway, back to Robben, we have seen him score so many goals that are pretty much carbon copies - it's almost like he's using some sort of weird futuristic copy and paste tool and reliving his goals.

While it's strange that defenders still don't try and show Robben onto his considerably weaker right-foot, he is a complete and utter genius when he shapes to shoot from the right side of the pitch.

One Bayern Munich fans enjoys Robben's archetypal cut-ins from the right so much that he decided to put together a compilation of him scoring virtually the same goal time and time again.

With clips of Robben perfecting his trademark trick in games for Bayern Munich and Netherlands, it makes for a great watch and highlights just how gifted the former Real Madrid and Chelsea man is - even as he comes to the latter stages of his career, he shows no signs of slowing down.

A similar compilation was created back in September 2016 and there's been plenty of Robben magic since then.

Fortunately, this updated version, courtesy of OneFootball has been put together, including the Dutchman's sensational effort against Arsenal in the first leg of Bayern's 10-2 aggregate destruction of the Gunners in the Champions League round of 16.
