Arjen Robben Takes A Huge Jab At Carlo Ancelotti

Arjen Robben really knows how to kick a man whilst he's down. It's not even been a week since Carlo Ancelotti was given his marching orders at Bayern Munich and his former player has really put the boot in.

Carlo Ancelotti romped to the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich last season but considering the gulf in class between that side and the rest of the league you could argue even Tim Sherwood would win the league.

But the Italian didn't have such a smooth start to his second season in charge at the Allianz Arena, winning four of their opening six league games, drawing one and losing one.

That draw came just a few days before the biggest game of their season to date, the Champions League tie against PSG. The loss in France was enough to see Ancelotti given his P45.

The club chairman revealed that five players turned against Ancelotti and many thought one was Arjen Robben, especially when asked after that defeat in Paris he refused to back the manager.

And talking to Kicker the former Chelsea player added fuel to the fire that he was one of the five. He took aim at his former boss' training techniques saying:

"There's better training at my son's youth team [than under Ancelotti]"

Robben was on the list of expected suspects who complained about the former Real Madrid manager along with fellow senior players Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller.

There is also a report in Kicker that some Bayern players had started training in secret together without Ancelotti, with those in attendance presumably echoing Robben's sentiments.

The Bundesliga champs took on Hertha Berlin and were managed by interim boss, and former player, Willy Sagnol, however they ballsed things up after taking a 2-0 lead. After Mats Hummels and Lewandowski opened up a two goal margin the Berlin side were able to snatch a draw.

It looks like Ancelotti's training will take a while to reverse. Or maybe it just wasn't all his fault...
