Before Manchester City took to the field against Arsenal, their players were all sporting t-shirts in tribute to Ilkay Gundogan following his cruciate knee ligament injury ruling him out for the rest of the season.
But the gesture didn't go down well with the cynical lot on Twitter who claimed it was cringey as well as saying that the midfielder isn't dead!
And it appears the German has caught a glimpse of the avalanche of messages because he's taken to social media to clarify his well-being.

Gungodan posted a Tweet which reads; "Thanks to my teammates & of course - congrats to my boys to this crucial win against AFC. PS: Don't worry - I'm still alive."
Goals from Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling secured all-three points after going behind early as they move up to second in the league but still seven points behind Chelsea.
