Marcelo Didn't Appreciate Toni Kroos' Happy New Year Message

Toni Kroos' Happy New Year Tweet has sparked quite the uproar among the Brazilians. Not only did it prompt a brilliant response from Real Madrid legend Ronaldo, but also club colleague Marcelo.

Kroos took to Twitter with the message "Feliz 20 (BRA flag) (GER flag)" reliving the 7-1 thrashing Germany inflicted on Brazil at the 2014 World Cup.

The Real midfielder was involved in the semi-final victory which took place on Brazilian soil as the German's eventually lifted the coveted trophy.

Though, Ronaldo perfectly responded to his Tweet by delivering his own Happy New Year message by evoking the memories from the 2002 World Cup Final.

And now, Marcelo has also weighed in on the Tweet by issuing a post on his social media which reads; "Happy year to everyone, great health and RESPECT to others always! Happy New Year to everyone, much health and RESPECT for the next forever!" via Google translate.

Kroos might be in for a frosty reception once he returns to training as the 'Los Blancos' prepare for their Copa del Rey clash on Wednesday.
