Well that escalated quickly. Pep Guardiola, Sergio Aguero and every single Manchester City supporter in the Etihad celebrated a last minute goal that was eventually ruled out by VAR.
It was one of the all-time great Champions League games.

Raheem Sterling, as he's done so often this season, opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a quality strike.
But Tottenham soon hit back after Son Heung-Min netted to equalise. The South Korean then put his side ahead in the tenth minute with a curling effort before you guessed it, Bernando Silva leveled the tie AGAIN in the 11th minute.
It was the fastest four goals scored in a game in the history of the Champions League, and the second half was just as entertaining.
Sergio Aguero netted in the second half before substitute Fernando Llorente scrambled home to put Tottenham in the ascendancy once more.

Then, in one of the most tense finales in Champions League history, that man Sterling scored and everyone in the stadium thought Manchester City had progressed to the semi's.
Just check out the scenes.
But in a controversial moment, VAR ruled it out after it was deemed that the ball bounced off Bernardo Silva and Sergio Aguero was in an offside position when he brought it down.

Plenty couldn't contain their excitement, seconds after the goal, including this Manchester City account.
They quickly deleted the original "IT'S HISTORY" tweet, but the above post from City's official account received over 40,000 RT's at the time of writing.
