The Curse of Drake incoming?

'The Curse Of Drake' is one of the most talked about things in football right now; even Manchester United are trying to get in on the act.

Earlier this month, the Canadian rapper posed for pictures with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Jadon Sancho while on his UK tour. Days later, Arsenal lost 1-0 to Everton and Borussia Dortmund were thrashed 5-0 by Bayern Munich.

It's got so bad that Serie A side AS Roma have banned players from taking photos with Drake until the end of the season.

Now, ahead of Manchester United's visit to Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final second leg, the away side have decided to ignite 'the curse' by tweeting a picture of the popular rapper wearing a Barcelona jersey.

Of course, Drake has been snapped wearing a series of football jerseys, including a Manchester United one if memory serves me correctly.

But this could prove to be a genius tweet from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side ahead of kick-off.

This isn't the only example of Drake being the unlucky mascot. Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa posted a selfie ahead of their Ligue 1 game against Lille at the weekend.

Thomas Tuchel's side only needed a draw to win the title and many thought it was inevitable.

Two days later they suffered their biggest league defeat in 19 years, conceding an incredible five goals in one of biggest shocks of the season.

From the Kentucky Basketball team, who haven't won a title since 2012, to the Toronto Raptors, who haven't reached a final in years - there are plenty of examples of this happening and this weekend was no different.

He walked out with Conor McGregor for his UFC 229 fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, and that ended with the Irishman submitting.

Some college football fans blamed the 32-year old as a bad luck charm for Alabama losing to Clemson in January after Drake sported an Alabama hoodie in the build-up.

He has also been cited as the main factor in shock defeats for the Golden State Warriors and Serena Williams.

Can Manchester United do the seemingly impossible tonight?
