Stephan El Shaarawy was once dubbed a star in the making after he completed a €20 million switch to AC Milan in the summer of 2011.
He made his highly anticipated debut against Napoli that year and greatness looked set to be on the horizon.
But El Shaarawy's promising career has never really kicked into fifth gear, despite showing glimpses of brilliance at Monaco and current side AS Roma
The 26-year-old, who has made over 100 appearances for the Giallorossi, was the club's top scorer in Serie A last season with 11 goals.

But his three year spell at the club is close to an end, according to reports.
According to Italian newspaper Il Tempo, El Shaarawy has accepted an offer from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.
The transfer fee is a reported €18 million, while the player will earn a reported €13m a year.

El Shaarawy was about to enter the final year of his contract at the Stadio Olimpico but contract talks stalled, according to Football Italia.
Last year, the Italian was rumoured to be on his way out of Roma and on his way to the Premier League, but that never materialised.
Thoughts on El Shaarawy making a move to the Chinese Super League?
