No One Can Understand What In The World Arsene Wenger Was Thinking

No One Can Understand What In The World Arsene Wenger Was Thinking

No surprise really.

Funny that, Arsenal looked a hell of a lot better in the second half. That must have been one hell of a half time team talk that Arsene Wenger decided to give, either that or he finally brought Alexis Sanchez on!

Before kick off no one could believe that Arsene Wenger had decided to leave Alexis Sanchez on the bench. Sure Mesut Ozil was out, he wasn't fit. But Sanchez? On the bench for no reason?

Of course like they often do, with or without the former Barcelona forward, the Gunners started really poorly against fellow top four chasers Liverpool.

Roberto Firmino put the Reds 1-0 up after 10 minutes and it was a bit of a barrage for the next half an hour as Arsenal didn't even get a touch of the ball in the Liverpool area for the first 20 minutes.

On 40 minutes Sadio Mane made it 2-0, finishing nicely after a wonderful build up started by James Milner.

Sanchez came on at half-time and set up a goal before the hour mark. He slipped a beautiful ball through for Danny Welbeck, the former Manchester United striker scooped the ball over an on rushing Simon Mignolet but it was never enough.

Late in the game Liverpool broke after an Arsenal attack and Adam Lallana found Divock Origi who squared for Georginio Wijnaldum to make it 3-1!

Sanchez made the Emirates side look a hell of a lot better, shock. And Wenger was getting absolute pelters for leaving him on the bench in the first place:
