Atletico Madrid President Claims Cristiano Ronaldo's Only Won Three Champions Leagues

Cristiano Ronaldo mocked Atletico Madrid fans for never winning the Champions League but Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo didn't want to acknowledge that he'd won the competition five times.

On Wednesday night Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Madrid for the first time since he left Real Madrid for Juventus in the summer, well apart from when he returned for his date in the city's court room over tax evasion.

The crowd at the Wanda Metropolitano were not exactly ecstatic to welcome the five time Ballon d'Or winner back to the Spanish capital, he would have tortured them often enough when he was at Real.

And they were happy enough to mock him chanting 'Ronaldo pay your taxes'. For that though Ronaldo responded by reminding them that on his own he's won the Champions League five times more than the club's managed in its history:

The former Real forward won the Champions League with Manchester United, helped Los Blancos finally win La Decima under Carlo Ancelotti and then won three years in a row with them under Zinedine Zidane, before moth men left the Bernabeu in the summer.

The 34 year old has even beaten Atleti twice in finals, for extra salt in wounds, but their club president Enrique Cerezo claimed he didn't count those two wins for Ronaldo, telling Spanish radio station 'Radio CRC':

"A small clarification is that Cristiano Ronaldo has not won five Champions Leagues at all, but only three. The remaining two against Atletico, he did not really win them.

"Who won those two finals? I will tell you in the next interview."

Ronaldo had even gone through the media mixed zone after the match saying, "I have five Champions Leagues, you [Atletico] have none," to continue to mock them but it wasn't really the best timing.

The Juventus forward could barely get into the game as their Spanish opponents were the better side in the second half and goals from Jose Jimenez and Diego Godin, the latter of which might have been an own goal by Ronaldo, gave them a 2-0 home win.

If Juve manage to overturn the deficit it's unlikely that CR7 will be quiet about it.
