River Plate vs Boca Juniors in the Copa Libertadores final has been postponed for the second night running following violent attacks on the Boca coach yesterday by fans of the home team.
Last night Argentine rivals River Plate and Boca Juniors were supposed to decide the best team in South America in the Copa Libertadores final second leg but the game was delayed twice, before finally being suspended, after River fans broke windows of the Boca coach as it drove into the stadium.
Two players had to go to hospital as a result of broken glass flying into their eyes but governing body Conmebol still wanted the game to go ahead.

Finally though common sense prevailed and the game was delayed until Sunday night.
Boca wrote to the South American governing body though as they felt they shouldn't have to play with their two players injured. Finally Conmebol have relented, postponing the game:
Boca pair Pablo Pérez and Gonzalo Lamardo both had to have their eyes patched up after the attack on the team's bus last night left shattered window glass in their eyes.

Before last night's postponement Carlos Tevez complained that players were being forced to play the match, saying, "We just wanted to come and tell people that we are being forced to play despite having teammates that are not in the best condition.
"This is a social problem. I think that is the reason, more than anything else, as to why they want to play this match. That goes beyond the condition we as a team found ourselves in right now.
"We are being forced to play a match where we do not have the appropriate conditions to take part in."
