Jose Mourinho might have denied there was any falling out between himself and Paul Pogba but the images from the Manchester United training ground suggest that might have been a lie.

It wasn't the best preparation for Manchester United ahead of their Carabao Cup that Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba reportedly clashed at training with the manager reportedly stripping the player of ever captaining the club again.

United then lost on penalties to Derby County but after the match the former Real Madrid boss claimed there had been no falling out and he'd simply decided that the Frenchman was no longer his second captain.

The 'Special One' explained after the match saying, "The only truth is that I made the decision for him not to be second captain any more but there is no fallout, no problem. I am the manager I can make these decisions."

Well with that being the case United fans clearly have nothing to worry about and there's no way there's any problems between manager and player, it's all rosy and no one will leave the club.

On Wednesday afternoon though Sky Sports released footage of the pair at training and things seemed frosty at best as Pogba's mood seem to switch from happy to arguing once Mourinho said something to him:

The pair already had a pretty fractured relationship but after the 1-1 draw with Wolves the former Juventus midfielder was clearly not happy with the team's tactics saying, "When we are at home we should attack, attack, attack. That's Old Trafford. We are here to attack. I think teams are scared when they see Man United attacking and attacking. That was our mistake today."

Mourinho was reportedly unhappy with that perceived criticism of the tactics and had criticised his team after the match saying, "It is a situation where the players knew perfectly that they press in midfield," Mourinho said.

"You don't have much time to have the ball, to turn, to one-touch. You know you don't have much of that.

"So you concede in a situation that it's harder to accept.

"That is one goal you concede. You have 90 minutes to show a different attitude and I think we have to do better."

This won't end well for anyone you feel.
