What a performance from the Portuguese youngster last night.

The Manchester City-AS Monaco game last night had absolute everything.

From dodgy defending and inept officiating to penalty-saving heroics and gorgeous goals, the 8-goal thriller will go down as one of the greatest games in Champions League history as far as knockout games go.

Sergio Aguero and Radamel Falcao both bagged a brace - with the latter scoring the cheekiest of chips to make the scoreline 3-2 in the second half.

Feel free to relive the delightful finish served up by Falcao here:

And though they conceded five goals, Monaco made a real impression last night and received a great deal of praise from pundits and fans alike.

18-year old sensation Kylian Mbappe drew comparisons with Thierry Henry following his mature performance, but fellow youngster Bernardo Silva was also talk of the town after producing an immense individual display.

One of his finest moments in the game came in the first half when the former Benfica man collected the ball on the right flank. Bernardo nipped past his namesake and fellow left-footed magician David Silva courtesy of some fancy footwork, shrugged off Leroy Sane, cheekily nutmegged a seasoned professional in Yaya Toure and set up a Monaco attack by threading through a pass for Radamel Falcao to latch onto.

Watch that sensational sequence as many times as you see fit here:

What a mesmeric piece of play.

It's no surprise that a host of clubs are queuing up for his signature. Chelsea have been heavily linked with pretty much all of Monaco's top talents, including Silva - while Manchester United are said to have a 'first refusal' on the 22-year old.

No deal is believed to be in place as of yet, but Silva's agent is Jorge Mendes, the Portuguese super agent who also has Jose Mourinho on his books. According to Le10Sport Mendes is reported to have agreed with the Monte Carlo club that, should United offer somewhere in the region of £70m for Silva's services, he would make the switch to Old Trafford.
