An excellent piece of goalkeeping.

Another Leicester City win, another occasion where the Foxes have goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel to thank for picking up the victory.

Craig Shakespeare's side continued where they left off from the Sevilla game in midweek and were two goals to the good just seven minutes into the game.

Riyad Mahrez scored the opener in the 5th minute, before Robert Huth scored Leicester's 500th Premier League goal two minutes later.

West Ham pulled one back through Manuel Lanzini and after conceding another in the 39th minute, Jamie Vardy getting in on the goals, they responded again with a strike from Andre Ayew in the 63rd minute.

And the Hammers were unlucky to not come out with anything, having come up against Kasper Schmeichel in fine form.

There was one save in particular that the Dane produced in the 92nd minute that was utterly sublime.

Clawing Andy Carroll's goal-bound header in the 77th minute wasn't enough for Schmeichel, who again denied Carroll with a strong stop with his right arm in the dying embers of the game.

The West Ham No.9 struck a venemous volley from around six yards out but Schmeichel made the sort of save that his dad was renowned for pulling off.

To be able to keep that out from point-blank range is outstanding.

Social media was waxing lyrical over Schmeichel after the world-class goalkeeping performance he conjured up:

What a week for Kasper Schmeichel.
