On This Day 15 Years Ago: Shevchenko Scored THIS Past Buffon

Andriy Shevchenko was one of the most feared marksman in Europe when he was plying his trade for Italy giants AC Milan, and on this day 15-years-ago the Ukrainian proved that statement by banging in this worldie past Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon.

The deadly finisher won the lot during his seven year stay at the iconic San Siro including the league, the domestic cup and the prestigious Champions League.

And he scored some mighty-impressive goals, like this one against Serie A rivals Juve.

'Sheva' picks up the ball from a flick on before skipping past two incoming defenders but while it'd look like the striker had been pushed far too wide, he had other plans.

One quick look into the box triggered Shevchenko to go alone. And by god did he. Shevchenko unleashed a thunderbastard of a shot past the hapless Buffon.
