Manchester United’s budget for Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s first transfer window in charge has reportedly been leaked.
After months of speculation, it was confirmed back in February that Ratcliffe and his INEOS team had become minority owners at United.
A statement from United read: “Manchester United plc (NYSE: MANU), and Trawlers Limited, an entity wholly-owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, are pleased to confirm that Sir Jim Ratcliffe has completed his acquisition of 25% of the club’s Class B shares and 25% of the club’s Class A shares, following the satisfaction of all conditions, including approvals from the Football Association and the Premier League.”
Looking ahead to the summer transfer window, it has been claimed that the budget has been set out already.

As reported by ESPN, United have the headroom to add to the squad but a net spend of £100 million is set to be the maximum they can afford.
A host of players have been linked with a move away from Old Trafford at the end of the current campaign.
It has been reported that Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial are likely to leave the club as free agents.
Meanwhile, the likes of Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire could also leave if the right offer arrived.
In addition, Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beek and Mason Greenwood all face uncertain futures at United.

Speaking ahead of United’s Premier League clash with Burnley, Erik ten Hag said: “We are in a position in the season with so many setbacks and when you don't have the players available, you cannot put in the performance levels you target.
“That is the truth and I think many fans understand that this is the case and we can do better. But still, also, last year we were quite successful and we had good momentum. This year, we are less successful but we are again in a final and that is a good performance and it is where we want to be, to be in the position to win silverware.”
