Mo Salah 'increasingly likely' to quit Liverpool as club told Saudi Pro League move is 'inevitable'

Mohamed Salah is 'increasingly likely to quit Liverpool' next year amid a proposed transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Pro League chiefs are targeting more world-class players, having recruited the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Neymar.

Salah and fellow Premier League star Kevin De Bruyne are among the players who are wanted by Saudi Arabia next year.

Liverpool have already sounded out his replacement as they eye a £55 million transfer.

According to Football Insider, Saudi Arabia officials are working behind the scenes to sign BOTH Salah and De Bruyne.

A source has claimed that Salah's move from Liverpool to Saudi Arabia is 'expected to go through' next year.

The 31-year-old is admired by Saudi Arabia chiefs as Al Ittihad attempted to lure him to the Middle East during the summer transfer window.

Though they failed in their pursuit to sign the Egyptian winger as Liverpool turned down Al Ittihad's advances.

A reported bid of £150 million was turned down by the Reds as they held onto their star player.

Salah is contracted until June 2025 and earns a reported £350,000-a-week at Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's decision to refuse his sale has been vindicated as the superstar forward has scored an impressive 10 goals in 13 games in all competitions this season.

Salah has been at Anfield since 2017 as he returned to England's top flight following his nightmare spell at Chelsea.

He's bagged an incredible 196 goals in 318 appearances during his prolific spell at the club.
