Barcelona In Talks For €100 Million Plus Three Player Deal For Neymar

Neymar could be about to ditch Ligue 1 to return to the La Liga champions with three players going in the opposite direction.

Just two years after leaving Barcelona, Neymar could be set for a return to the Catalan giants with a report stating the clubs are in talks over a cash plus three player deal.

In the summer of 2017 Neymar's €220 million move from Barcelona to PSG smashed the transfer record and completely changed the market, massively increasing prices across the board.

Now the Brazilian could be set for a return to the Camp Nou with Brazilian outlet GloboEsporte reporting that the two teams are in talks.

According to the report Neymar would cost Barca €100 million plus three players, with Samuel Umtiti, Ousmane Dembele and Ivan Rakitic the most likely candidates.

Just yesterday PSG chairman Nasser al-Khelaifi told France Football that the 'doors are open - ciao! I do not want star behaviour any more,' and claimed he wanted more hard work from the players in his team.

Whilst L'Equipe said that Neymar has already become annoyed at the club's lack of success in Europe, with the French champions knocked out of the last 16 in the previous two years.

Ironically Neymar has been injured and unavailable as they've been knocked out by Real Madrid and Manchester United in the two seasons he's been in Paris.

Those two reports from France seemed to suggest that the Brazilian would be allowed to leave should the deal be acceptable for the Parisians.

Whilst €100 million would be well short of the money they paid for Neymar in the first place, when the Ligue 1 winners activated his transfer release clause, the three players would make up for it.

Not least Dembele. The French winger was signed from Borussia Dortmund for a total €145 million, with bonuses included, as a replacement for the former Santos forward.

Umtiti has fallen out of favour with Ernesto Valverde through injury and loss of form and was replaced in the starting line up by Clément Lenglet last season.

Though Rakitic did start 29 La Liga games last season the club have already signed Frenkie de Jong so wouldn't be too rocked by the Croatian's departure.

Barca have previously been linked with Antoine Griezmann, who has said he will leave Atletico Madrid this summer, but no deal has emerged.

There's little doubt that Neymar returning to the Nou Camp would be the biggest transfer story of the summer.
