He can't afford to lose him.

After being the most surprising Premier League winners in history the last thing Leicester City want to do is become the most surprising relegated side. However being just six points above the relegation zone that is still a possibility so it's no wonder Claudio Ranieri is unwilling to let one of his title winning team leave.

It feels like a hell of a long time since the world and his wife criticised Michael Owen, the world's most easy to criticise football pundit, for suggesting that the Foxes could get relegated this season after their historic title win last season.

That's mainly because since then the world has seen Donald Trump become President elect and numerous other celebrities have died but also because Leicester are looking more like the team from the first 30 games of their first season back in the Premier League.

With the club in some trouble it's no wonder that Claudio Ranieri won't be letting players go in the January transfer window. According to the Sun the Italian has told Leonardo Ulloa that he can't move despite the Argentinian's desire to leave and some clubs interested.

Ulloa has only started one league game for the Foxes this season and that came in the very boring 0-0 draw against Middlesbrough on January 2nd but did stay on for the entire 90 minutes.

However despite not having much football and West Brom and Hull rumoured to be keen on the player Ranieri won't let Ullo leave because he is losing Islam Slimani for the African Cup of Nations.

When the former Brighton striker joined the King Power team in 2014 he was the club's most expensive signing, costing Nigel Pearson £8 million. But this season he has been limited to 240 minutes of game time in the league, scoring just once.

Ulloa could have left in the summer, when both Swansea and Sunderland were after him, but he decided to stay and fight for his place in the team. However the additions of Slimani and Ahmed Musa have seen him drop further down the pecking order.

Will Leicester stay up?
