Emmanuel Frimpong Moves To Another Obscure Football Team

The 'Dench' midfielder came through the Arsenal youth ranks eventually making 16 senior appearances before slowly falling into obscurity.

Emmanuel Frimpong was loaned out to Wolves, Charton and Fulham before signing permanently with Championship side Barnsley.

But nine outings with the Tykes prompted the midfielder to find a new club in the shape of unknown Russian outfit Ufa.

Though his time with them will be most remembered by sporting Dench on the back of his shirt instead of his actual name.

That's right, he wore the name of his clothing brand on the back of his shirt!

After a brief spell with Arsenal - not that Arsenal - the Russian side, Arsenal Tula, he's now successfully landed himself another obscure team.

The 25-year-old has joined the Swedish league, linking up with the newly-promoted AFC Eskilstuna.

The Swedish minnows are clearly excited by the prospect of Frimpong who they've branded as a marquee signing ahead of the new Allsvenskan season.

"We have acquired a strong and skillful midfielder at the club." The clubs sporting director Azad Budak said of acquiring his services.

Continuing to add; "This is a solicitation that means a lot to the club. It shows that we have the capacity to recruit this type of players to complement our squad for the season."
