There must be some teams in the Premier League who could still do with Didier Drogba's ability to score goals. At 38 there's a chance he could still 'do a job' but yesterday he turned down a new club.

Drogba departed the Premier League for the second time in his career in July 2015 when he left Chelsea, once again, for the MLS and Montreal Impact.

After a successful first season he nearly returned to the Blues as a coach for Guus Hiddink after Jose Mourinho had been sacked but decided to see out his contract in Canada.

The Ivorian scored a decent return of 21 goals in two seasons whilst playing in the MLS with Toronto reaching the MLS Cup final last year.

'King Drog' had reportedly been offered a deal to move to Brazil and play for Corinthians but the former Marseille striker revealed why he turned them down:

Drogba has been linked with a move back to China, after playing there for Shanghai Shenhua in the 2012-13 season but so far that hasn't happened either.

The former two time African player of the year might have been hoping for a move back to Marseille but their fans obviously didn't want him:

Impact have also reportedly offered Drogba a new deal even though his second season at the club wasn't as productive as the first and he refused to play for the club towards the end of the season.

Drogba still has the opportunity to sign for a new club outside of the window as he is currently a free agent.

With Middlesbrough having only scored 19 goals this season and Hull and Sunderland both on 20 could any of those teams really say they wouldn't benefit with a short term move for the four time Premier League winner?
