Liverpool Turn To Premier League Champion To Fix Defensive Problems

Still leaky.

Liverpool do a lot of things well under Jurgen Klopp but defending isn't always one of them. The Reds are still too leaky at the back, especially when their passing from defence goes awry. Klopp is all to aware of their problems though and he's still trying to fix them.

The biggest issue that The Reds face is at left back. Alberto Moreno just isn't cutting it for the Premier League side and has been replaced in the last two games by James Milner. The problem with a stand in is they just aren't going to be good enough either.

Klopp's side have conceded six goals in their opening three league fixtures and that's just not going to be good enough especially if it costs them points as it has in the last two games against Burnley and Spurs. So it's no surprise that he's after Leicester City full-back Christian Fuchs before the transfer window closes.

The Austrian was one of many of Leicester's impressive players as they won the Premier League this season and has been wanted at Anfield since the beginning of the summer but Klopp cooled his interest.

However Fuchs' contract extension talks have gone on longer than expected and according to The Sun that has alerted the five time Champions League winners to the possibility of signing him.

The Foxes have already signed new deals for Claudio Ranieri, Wes Morgan, Jamie Vardy, Danny Drinkwater and Kasper Schmeichel to stop other clubs becoming interested but N'Golo Kante was sold to Chelsea.
