In news that will set pulses racing around the Emirates Stadium, Julian Draxler has been banned from Wolfsburg's squad, just days after publicly voicing his dissatisfaction once again with the club.
Draxler expressed his desire to leave the Wolves in midweek, not for the first time, and the club's management have responded in kind by banning him from the squad and expressing a desire to sell the former Schalke youngster.

The Germany international was tipped for a bright future during his time with Schalke and was expected to set the world alight when he made the move to Wolfsburg, yet his career has stalled over the past season and a half and with Wolfsburg needing to raise funds following Volkswagen's financial troubles over the past few months, Draxler's long rumoured move to the Gunners could be set to go ahead.

Wolfsburg's asking price for the 23-year-old is believed to be £30.2m, with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain both also holding an interest in the World Cup winner. Arsene Wenger will be hoping his German contingent of Ozil, Mustafi and Mertesacker can do enough to persuade Draxler to snub the continent for the Emirates stadium in the new year.
